Dear readers, fans, friends and supporters,
According to the lunar calendar, the Asian Year of the Tiger began on February 1, 2022. Like most of us, I wish for a healthy, happy and peaceful world. A simple wish that has not been so easy to fulfill since time immemorial.
Nevertheless, I would like to consciously maintain my optimism and confidence by announcing good news. Because good things attract good things.
After a two-and-a-half-year break, I was finally able to fly back to Vietnam to present my book “Phoenix Daughter – Hope Was My Way” (Con gái của chim Phượng hoàng – Hy vọng là con đường của tôi), published by General Publisher Ho Chi Minh City, to the Vietnamese public on March 19, 2022. With this book, I set a new, long overdue accent in the Vietnamese traditional society in order to remove the taboo on sexualized violence, among other things.
The reception was warm and overwhelming on all sides. Mrs. Trương Mỹ Hoa, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, honoured us with her presence and personally opened the kick-off event.
On June 19, 2022, the children’s book “Hip Hop in the Land of Ellsaby” (1st edition by Verlag Krone in 2001) was published by General Publisher Ho Chi Minh City (“Hip hop ở xứ sở của Ellsaby”). The newly written and self-illustrated story about coping with grief is told in three languages (Vietnamese, English and German) and is intended, among other things, to help Vietnamese children who have lost relatives due to the coronavirus pandemic to deal with their grief. German, English and French versions will follow at the end of 2022.

All participating bookstores have pledged to donate a portion of their proceeds to the LOAN Foundation.
The German, English and French versions of “Hip Hop in the Land of Ellsaby” and “Hip Hop and the Golden Forest” were published in the fourth quarter of 2022. The latter was signed in Vietnam by the publisher General Publisher Ho Chi Minh City and will be published at the end of May 2023.
